Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance

Location: Ocean Springs, Mississippi, United States

Hourly wage: $33.00–$63.00 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and replacements for facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
• Use multiple craft skills, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment maintenance.
• Operate, inspect, and safely maintain heavy machinery, powered equipment, vehicles, tools, and testing equipment.
• Lead assigned work sites, determine project scopes, oversee contractors and less-experienced associates, and provide hands-on training.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, purchases, warranties, invoices, budgets, and repair documentation.
• Ensure completed work meets quality, safety, code, OSHA, EPA, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

Requirements

• Vocational or technical certification and 3 years of relevant experience, or 6 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related area.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no recent DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions, no more than two moving violations in the last three years, and no preventable commercial vehicle accidents in the last three years.
• No serious traffic violations under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations within the last three years.
• Ability to perform physical maintenance work, operate heavy equipment, respond to emergencies, and follow safety procedures.

Nice to have

• Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
