Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration (HVAC/Refrigeration)

Location: Casa Grande, Arizona, United States; onsite at the hirify.global Supercenter

Hourly wage: $35.00–$70.00 per hour, plus potential premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Oversee installation, commissioning, diagnostics, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems.
• Manage rack systems, walk-ins, reach-ins, supermarket refrigeration units, refrigerant levels, parts inventory, and vendor service relationships.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs and ensure compliance with OSHA standards, EPA refrigerant protocols, environmental guidelines, and applicable HVAC/R codes.
• Lead HVAC/R field teams by coordinating assignments, mentoring technicians, providing feedback, and delivering hands-on training.
• Coordinate service calls, regional workloads, special projects, business solutions, and process improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations, maintain company vehicles, and respond to business-critical incidents outside standard business hours.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in HVAC or grocery rack refrigeration, or 6 years of experience plus an Associate of Applied Science in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• Current Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• HVAC-R or Mechanical Journeyman certification where required.
• At least 1 year of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related area, or 2 years of hirify.global store experience.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record must meet specified safety standards, including no recent DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions, serious traffic violations, or preventable accidents.

Nice to have

• Completion of a 2-year technical or vocational HVAC/R program or an AAS in air conditioning and refrigeration.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Experience with Glycol and CO2 systems.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
