Exceptional Education Comprehensive Teacher (MS) (Immediate) 10K Bonus (Special Education)

Location: Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Salary: USD 56,171–100,974 per year; first-year teachers start at USD 56,171, while teachers with an advanced degree start at USD 61,909. A USD 10,000 bonus is included in the role title.

What you will do

• Plan and deliver self-contained middle-school special education instruction using appropriate strategies, materials, and learning activities.
• Monitor student progress, analyze results, and use data to adjust instruction and individual learning plans.
• Provide daily feedback on academic and character development and maintain a positive, calm learning environment.
• Collaborate with school staff and participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide culture initiatives.
• Communicate with families through regular progress updates, conferences, open houses, and other events.

Requirements

• Valid Tennessee teaching license or proof of enrollment in a job-embedded Educator Preparation Program.
• Conferred bachelor’s degree.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Strong pedagogy, data-driven instruction skills, collaboration, and classroom management abilities.
• At least two years of teaching experience is preferred.
• Commitment to serving students from educationally under-resourced communities is highly preferred.
