Location: Bay Area required; hybrid office and work-from-home policy based at Galileo Headquarters in Oakland, California. Occasional visits to camp locations or clients, onsite events or meetings, and up to 10% travel may be required.
Salary: USD 70,000–80,000 per year, plus eligibility for a 5% annual bonus after a full season in the role.

What you will do
- Design, prototype, test, and refine hands-on STEAM projects for kindergarten through eighth-grade learners.
- Test activities in classroom settings and adjust lesson pacing, project steps, and building techniques for age-appropriateness.
- Specify exact instructional materials and collaborate with Supply Chain on samples and program constraints.
- Create clear multimedia facilitation guides based on the Galileo Innovation Approach.
- Design and occasionally deliver instructor training for program facilitators.
- Observe programs, gather instructor feedback, analyze survey data, and turn findings into curriculum improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent subject matter expertise in education, art and design, engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in educational settings designing hands-on activities that engage students in creative problem-solving.
- Experience creating multimedia content, including basic photography and video production.
- Understanding of K-8 enrichment environments, educator needs, and children’s developmental capacities.
- A strong portfolio of STEAM project ideas and experience bringing them to life, plus the ability to create clear instructional materials and communicate complex ideas.
- Must be based in the Bay Area and able to work under a hybrid office and work-from-home arrangement.
