Workday Technical Consultant

Location: 100% remote within the United States; the posting also lists Bothell, WA.

What you will do

• Design complex calculated fields, custom, advanced, composite, and matrix reports, dashboards, and report-as-a-service integrations.
• Configure business processes, condition rules, approval routing, and security domains across Workday HCM and Finance.
• Develop Workday Extend applications and support PRISM Analytics while using upgrade-safe platform extensions.
• Partner with HR, payroll, finance, integration, product, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into Workday solutions.
• Support tenant refreshes, regression testing, release adoption, production troubleshooting, and root-cause remediation.
• Document configurations and security models, provide best-practice guidance, review designs, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Five or more years of Workday technical experience; the position listing also states 6+ years of experience.
• Deep expertise in Workday Report Writer, advanced and composite reports, and calculated fields across HCM and Finance.
• Hands-on experience with business processes, condition rules, the Workday security framework, tenant management, and release processes.
• Experience with PRISM Analytics or Workday Extend, plus strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Workday Pro certifications.
• Workday Extend application development experience and familiarity with PRISM data ingestion and modeling.
• Experience with multi-tenant or multi-region Workday deployments.
