TL;DR
Regional Technician Development Partner (HVAC): Building and executing regional technician learning, development, and talent pipeline programs with an accent on training roadmaps, field adoption, workforce partnerships, and program measurement. Focus on expanding technical training capacity, improving technician progression, analyzing participation and skill-gap data, and coordinating onsite regional execution.

Location: Chesapeake, Virginia, United States. Hybrid schedule with onsite work Monday through Thursday; Friday location is flexible. Regional travel is required approximately 20–40%.

Annual salary: $97,406.66–$156,200.00, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain the regional technician development roadmap with service leadership and the Technician Program Manager.
  • Coordinate apprenticeship, onboarding, technical training, skill advancement, and career pathway programs.
  • Support instructors and field leaders with training readiness, scheduling, delivery, participation, and follow-through.
  • Develop relationships with schools, apprenticeship programs, workforce organizations, and early-talent channels.
  • Track participation, completion, progression, engagement, skill gaps, and business outcomes through reporting and visual management.
  • Communicate program updates, learner feedback, best practices, and results to technicians, leaders, trainers, recruiting, HR, and community partners.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience in HVAC service, technical training, workforce development, operations, education, or program management.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority and convert feedback into measurable actions.
  • Ability to analyze program data, identify trends, and recommend business-focused improvements.
  • Ability to work onsite in Chesapeake Monday through Thursday and travel regionally approximately 20–40%.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting technician development in an HVAC or service-focused environment.
  • Experience with the Field Instructor Network or a similar technical training network.
  • Relationships with schools, apprenticeship programs, workforce organizations, or community partners.
  • Experience leading meetings, mentoring technicians, or coordinating multi-stakeholder programs.
  • Demonstrated improvements in program adoption, training participation, or technician development outcomes.
