What you will do
- Triage patients and recognize medical emergencies and illnesses.
- Assess patients, record vital signs, assist doctors with diagnostics, and monitor changes in condition.
- Provide basic husbandry and nursing care, complete treatments, and administer medications as directed.
- Take blood, place catheters, prepare samples for reference laboratories, and run in-house laboratory tests.
- Assist with radiography capture and maintain a hospitable clinical environment.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in a general practice setting.
- Availability to work one weekend day, Saturday or Sunday.
- Comfort with computers and online tools.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Strong communication skills, compassion for pets, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
