Veterinary Assistant or Registered Veterinary Technician

Location: Onsite veterinary practices in Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Colorado Springs, Denver, or Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. Some weekend work and travel may be required.

Salary: $17.54–$26.44 per hour

What you will do

• Support veterinarians and the practice team in delivering consistent medical and client care.
• Assist with laboratory, radiology, anesthesia, and dental equipment and procedures, including handling animal fluids and tissues.
• Communicate patient updates to veterinarians and collaborate with other team members.
• Use the practice information management system and support colleagues with related technology.
• Manage pharmacy responsibilities, controlled-substance logs, invoices, client payments, and inventory communication.
• Clean workspaces, follow clinical standards and procedures, and complete required training.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a veterinary practice.
• Experience in veterinary medicine and the ability to complete the Veterinary Assistant skills checklist.
• Strong communication, observation, analytical, empathy, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 80% of a shift and frequently lift 50–70 pounds, with team assistance for heavier loads.
