Autonomous Vehicle Technician Apprentice

Location: Phoenix, AZ, onsite. Applicants must be authorized to work and reside in the United States.

What you will do

• Support senior technicians with basic repairs, maintenance, and shop operations for autonomous vehicle fleets.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and organize tools, parts, and materials.
• Perform post-repair inspections, including checking sensors for cleanliness and visible damage and verifying that no tools or supplies remain in vehicles.
• Assist with mechanical repair and installation of LiDAR, radar units, cameras, and autonomous vehicle modules.
• Service tires, including assessing wear, mounting, demounting, balancing, and repairing damaged tires.
• Perform autonomous vehicle and OEM software updates and follow shop safety and quality procedures.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, wiring schematics, and Technical Service Bulletins.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving hardware, software, and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, walk for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
