Compensation Analyst - Contractor

Location: San Diego, United States; hybrid home/office workplace

What you will do

• Conduct job analysis and develop, update, and maintain job descriptions with managers and HR Business Partners.
• Evaluate role scope, responsibilities, and organizational alignment to support consistent job leveling and classification.
• Apply job architecture frameworks, standards, and governance practices.
• Support compensation analyses, market benchmarking, reporting, audits, and data management.
• Collaborate across HR and business functions on compensation, job architecture, and process improvement projects.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant work experience, a bachelor's degree, or equivalent additional experience.
• Strong Excel skills for process automation, calculations, analytics, and management presentations.
• Ability to communicate with employees across the organization.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work for prolonged periods using desktop and web-based applications.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• Previous compensation support or human resources experience.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
