Manager, Compensation Systems & Operations (Compensation Systems)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, USA; onsite role.

Salary: USD 100,000–145,000 per year, with potential bonus eligibility after the first year.

What you will do

• Govern and administer global compensation, commission, and incentive compensation systems.
• Review calculations, credit allocations, adjustments, reconciliations, and system outputs before commission and payroll releases.
• Develop audit-ready controls, validation procedures, workpapers, documentation, and remediation recommendations.
• Investigate payee inquiries, disputes, escalations, and operational issues with payroll, accounting, technology teams, vendors, and managers.
• Analyze large datasets, maintain dashboards and reporting, and validate integrations, data feeds, SFTP processes, and automated workflows.
• Support system enhancements, DEV, UAT, production validation, vendor management, automation, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in compensation operations, incentive compensation, commission administration, global payroll, accounting, audit, financial systems, or business systems analysis.
• Experience with complex reconciliations, validation testing, root-cause investigations, internal controls, large-scale data analysis, and enterprise systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Alteryx skills, including data preparation, reconciliation, validation testing, exception reporting, and audit support.
• SQL proficiency and experience with dashboards, reports, multiple databases, DEV/UAT/production environments, integrations, configurations, and system testing.
• Strong documentation, audit trail, governance, communication, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Big 4 public accounting Manager-level experience.
• Power BI, SAP HANA, Azure DevOps, ETL/data integration tools, SFTP platforms, or Python.
• Experience with global compensation implementations, upgrades, stabilization programs, vendors, and outsourced technology teams.
