Production Technician 3 (Optical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Perform complex assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of optical and electronic components and sub-assemblies.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate automated and semi-automated production equipment.
• Conduct in-process inspections, record test data, and resolve defects or discrepancies.
• Work with engineering and quality teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Document testing, rework, and equipment maintenance according to quality requirements.
• Train less experienced technicians and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in electronics, optics, manufacturing technology, or a related technical field is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in optical, semiconductor, or electronics manufacturing.
• Ability to read complex schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
• Experience with precision hand tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, power meters, and automated test equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, manual dexterity, attention to detail, computer, MES, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work various shifts and overtime as required.
