TL;DR
Production Technician I (Aerospace): Performing automated and manual testing of aerospace and defense units with an accent on calibration, engineering specifications, and non-conformance reporting. Focus on interpreting test results, conducting root cause investigations, and operating specialized equipment for vibration, thermal, leak, hydraulic, and electrical testing.

Location: Lynnwood, Washington, United States; onsite. Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 5:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

Salary: $24.64–$32.47 per hour.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components for aerospace and defense applications, including power, sensing, and fluid solutions.

What you will do

  • Perform automated and manual testing of aerospace and defense units using specialized test consoles and equipment.
  • Interpret work orders, engineering drawings, test procedures, failure reports, manuals, and production specifications.
  • Calibrate and adjust units, perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, thermal, vibration, burn-in, and leak testing, and complete required calculations.
  • Create non-conformance reports with test results, failure descriptions, and initial root cause investigation findings.
  • Test products from other programs and more complex units under close supervision.
  • Support 5S, KPI, standard work, problem-solving, audits, customer visits, and safety initiatives.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment or equivalent education.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or repair product flow and computer systems.
  • Ability to communicate in English in speech and writing.
  • Ability to learn test software and equipment, identify non-conforming conditions, use multiple software systems, and solve problems analytically.
  • Manual and finger dexterity, precise coordination, ability to lift up to 35 pounds and push up to 100 pounds, and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, manufacturing costs, and distribution practices.
  • Associate degree in Electronic or Mechanical Technology, or equivalent experience.
