Security Advisor - Threat Exposure Management (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote, with candidates hired near Houston, Dallas, St. Louis, or Minneapolis; approximately 25% travel required.

Total target compensation: $200,000–$250,000+ annually, including base salary and an uncapped bonus plan.

What you will do

• Serve as a trusted cybersecurity advisor and design pragmatic, scalable security solutions for assigned clients.
• Lead threat management discussions covering vulnerability management, threat hunting, incident management, threat intelligence, and related security programs.
• Understand client environments, risks, business goals, budgets, and security priorities to develop strategies and execution roadmaps.
• Partner with sales, service delivery teams, technology vendors, and client stakeholders throughout requirements gathering, demonstrations, evaluations, proposals, and contract closure.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities, manage pipeline and forecasting activities, and contribute to quota attainment.
• Provide thought leadership through presentations, industry engagement, client guidance, and continuous security expertise development.

Requirements

• BS/BA or equivalent education and experience.
• At least five years of information security experience focused on threat management, preferably in consulting, advisory, architecture, or engineering roles.
• Expertise in application security tools, vulnerability management, threat management or hunting, enterprise incident management, forensics or eDiscovery, threat intelligence platforms, and asset management.
• Strong understanding of the current threat landscape, vulnerabilities, defensive controls, and cybersecurity technologies.
• Strong business, technical, presentation, written, and oral communication skills, including leading client and whiteboard discussions.
• Professional or vendor-specific cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CISM, or GIAC are preferred.
