What you will do

• Design basic power, lighting, grounding, bonding, data, security, fire alarm, raceway, cable tray, and electrical control systems.
• Perform power load, illumination, short-circuit, voltage-drop, and other fundamental engineering calculations.
• Develop single-line diagrams, plans, schedules, installation details, specifications, and code evaluations.
• Conduct field investigations and surveys of existing conditions to integrate designs with existing systems and structures.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, designers, clients, manufacturers, construction trade partners, and other internal and external contributors.
• Support projects across studies, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.

Requirements

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 0–3 years of experience, preferably in a design firm setting.
• Fundamental experience with electrical design calculations and lighting, power, and special systems design.
• Ability to interface with clients and external partners and to travel for client development and project execution.
• Fundamental experience conducting field surveys and supporting field reporting.
• Fundamentals of Engineering Exam registration or completion is preferred.
