Facility Technician

Location: Glendale, California, United States. This position must be performed full-time from an hirify.global-designated worksite.

Salary: $46.00–$48.00 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, building automation, and other critical facility systems.
• Monitor building automation systems, conduct inspections and meter readings, and respond to service requests, emergencies, and system failures.
• Complete preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance work orders and maintain accurate equipment, repair, and cost records in the CMMS.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, service calls, asset tagging, and facility projects.
• Support standard operating procedures, key performance indicators, emergency preparedness drills, safety compliance, and business continuity activities.
• Assist with event setups, painting, carpentry, bid walks, and project oversight.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in building engineering, facilities management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building automation systems.
• Knowledge of Class A commercial building operations, building codes, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and energy efficiency practices.
• Valid state Class C driver's license.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or technical certification in building systems.
• Trade licenses or certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or low voltage.
• EPA Universal Certification for refrigerants.
• Experience with Class A high-rise operations and REG 4.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
