Critical Facilities Technician (Data Centers)

Location: Plano, Texas, United States; onsite data center work

Hourly pay: $35.00–$47.00

What you will do

• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot critical and non-critical facility equipment through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Operate and maintain HVAC, plumbing, generators, fire detection and suppression, life-safety, temperature-control, access-control, CCTV, and building management systems.
• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and document electrical operations, maintenance, energy management, and change-control activities.
• Execute work orders, obtain required materials, complete maintenance documentation, and follow MOP, SOP, ERP, and work instructions.
• Oversee employees and third-party contractors to ensure safe, compliant operation and maintenance of critical equipment.
• Respond to fires, evacuations, equipment failures, customer concerns, and other emergency situations while improving operating processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 3–5 years of experience supporting electrical or mechanical critical facilities, or 7+ years as an HVAC or mechanical/electrical technician.
• Ability to work overtime and 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to perform hands-on maintenance and comply with facility safety, operating, and change-control procedures.
