Building Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; onsite at Nvidia’s multi-building campus

Salary: $55–$60 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain and repair HVAC, commercial chillers, plumbing, electrical, structural, furniture, fire/life safety, and control systems.
• Inspect building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to ensure safe and compliant operation.
• Maintain energy management programs and improve system efficiency.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and perform emergency repairs.
• Follow building codes, safety regulations, hazardous-material procedures, and client requirements.
• Mentor others, collaborate across disciplines, and build consensus on complex facility issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, trade school diploma, or equivalent experience, plus 4–5 years of job-related experience.
• Universal EPA/CFC certification required; additional local or state certifications may be required.
• Must already be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs or ladders, and lift or carry 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to analyze multiple information sources, exercise judgment, and solve sophisticated technical and mathematical problems.
• Microsoft Office and prior CMMS experience are preferred.
