Operations Manager - Fabrication (Copper Bus, Night Shift)

Location: 100% onsite in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. Night shift start time is flexible between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Lead copper fabrication operations across all shifts and Jacksonville facilities, achieving safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Manage supervisors, team leads, and fabrication teams, including workforce deployment and cross-training.
• Monitor throughput, OEE, utilization, scrap, overtime, and performance trends.
• Drive root-cause analysis for quality issues, downtime, and process instability with Engineering and Maintenance.
• Partner with Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Maintenance on process optimization, capacity planning, equipment commissioning, automation integration, and fabrication prioritization.
• Implement 5S, visual management, tier meetings, standardized operating procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in metal manufacturing operations.
• Leadership experience managing supervisors and production or fabrication teams.
• Strong knowledge of CNC punching, forming, and material flow.
• Experience with ERP systems; Infor SyteLine is preferred.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Nice to have

• MBA.
• Proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, or similar data analytics tools.
• Familiarity with OEE and MES systems.
