TL;DR
Operations Manager (Manufacturing): Leading end-to-end production value stream performance in an electrical distribution systems manufacturing environment with an accent on KPI ownership, Lean manufacturing, and cross-functional team leadership. Focus on optimizing production workflows, solving operational bottlenecks through root cause analysis, and driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and efficiency.

Location: 100% in-office in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. Second shift: 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.

What you will do

  • Own production value-stream KPIs, including on-time delivery, first-pass yield, defects per unit, safety incidents, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead daily production operations and ensure safe, efficient execution against schedules and quality standards.
  • Manage, coach, and develop cross-functional production, quality, materials, and maintenance teams.
  • Coordinate with Planning and Materials to balance demand, capacity, workflow, materials, and labor deployment.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions using Pareto analysis, A3 problem-solving, and process mapping.
  • Implement Lean initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, and Value Stream Mapping while resolving process, design, and equipment issues with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing leadership, such as Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Manager, or Value Stream Leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success improving manufacturing KPIs, including cycle time, first-pass yield, defects per unit, or costs.
  • Experience developing cross-functional teams and applying Lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, waste elimination, and workflow optimization.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, communication, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems, Tableau, and Microsoft Office; INFOR/Syteline experience is a plus. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher and PMP certifications are preferred.

Nice to have

  • APICS, CPIM, or another supply-chain certification, particularly for materials-heavy value streams.
