TL;DR
Manager, Facilities Engineering (HVAC/MEP/Critical Infrastructure): Overseeing building engineering operations, maintenance, repairs, and infrastructure for low- and high-rise facilities with an accent on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building automation, and safety compliance. Focus on optimizing chiller plants and critical spaces, coordinating preventative maintenance and vendors, and leading emergency response and facility improvement initiatives.
Location: On-site in Glendale, California; full-time from an -designated worksite. Support may cover multiple sites in the Los Angeles area, with flexible hours and travel as needed.
Salary: $120,000–$145,000 per year, bonus eligible.

What you will do
- Lead Engineers and support staff in operating, maintaining, and repairing building systems, infrastructure, grounds, and critical spaces.
- Oversee chiller plants, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building automation systems, and other critical infrastructure.
- Manage preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance programs, work orders, service calendars, and CMMS records.
- Coordinate vendors, contractors, LAFD REG 4 testing, regulatory compliance, safety activities, and emergency preparedness drills.
- Use BAS, ArcGIS, CMMS, and EAM processes to improve energy efficiency, asset data, system performance, and operational response.
- Support capital project planning, operating budgets, bid walks, work planning, and task allocation across Los Angeles-area engineering teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in building engineering, facilities operations, critical infrastructure, or a related field.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Experience with Class A commercial building operations, fire and life safety testing, and Los Angeles REG 4 requirements.
- Proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building automation systems, including troubleshooting and repair coordination.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and energy efficiency practices.
- Valid state Class C Driver’s License and ability to maintain required OSHA 30-hour certification.
Nice to have
- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification.
- Associate degree or technical certification in building systems.
- EPA Universal Certification for refrigerants.
- Tridium N4 knowledge or relevant HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or low-voltage trade license.
