Upgrade Install and Relocation Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: On-site in Austin, Texas, with 75% travel primarily within the United States and occasional international travel. Phoenix, Arizona, United States is listed in the conditions. Work authorization in the United States is required without current or future employer sponsorship.

Salary: $27–$37 per hour.

What you will do

• Install, relocate, de-install, assemble, and qualify lithography systems and subsystems in cleanroom environments.
• Execute equipment upgrades, modifications, recovery activities, and technical procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues.
• Collaborate with customers, engineers, and technical experts to address installation and performance challenges.
• Analyze system performance and verify engineering, safety, and quality compliance.
• Complete technical documentation, service reports, work orders, and project handovers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics, electronics, or a related technical field.
• 0–2 years of experience in field service, semiconductor manufacturing, equipment installation, high-technology manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or a similar technical environment.
• Experience assembling, installing, troubleshooting, or repairing complex electromechanical equipment.
• Ability to read technical documentation, engineering drawings, procedures, and specifications.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and United States work authorization without employer sponsorship are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, vacuum systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, or precision alignment.
• Experience with data analysis tools, spreadsheet software, and technical reporting applications.
