Location: Onsite in Mineral Wells, Texas, United States

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually

What you will do

  • Design, develop, implement, and analyze complete aircraft avionics systems.
  • Review customer product requests and develop feasible design changes for existing products.
  • Analyze project feasibility, manufacturability, cost, and production timelines with engineers and customers.
  • Perform system and software integration, develop testing applications, and support formal tests.
  • Support ground and flight testing, system and subsystem analysis, requirements specification, modeling, and performance analysis.
  • Support system safety assessments, including functional hazard assessments, FMEAs, fault tree analyses, and TSO/STC certification projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in systems, software, electrical, computer, mechanical, aerospace engineering, or a related engineering discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least three years of related avionics and technical professional experience.
  • Knowledge of avionics design and development processes, engineering practices, and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of FAA and other avionics certification processes, including system safety assessment.
  • Expertise with relevant requirements management tools and general knowledge of related engineering disciplines.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and able to perform engineering work during aircraft ground and flight tests.
