GNC Engineer II (Autonomous Systems)

Location: Moorpark, California, United States; onsite office and R&D work required. Travel within the continental U.S. is required for flight test operations, up to 20%.

Salary: $82,000–$125,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support the design, development, and validation of flight control systems for current and new products.
• Integrate flight control systems with avionics and aircraft subsystems.
• Implement flight control algorithms on aircraft flight control system hardware.
• Prepare and execute validation activities using analysis and SIL, HIL, and iron-bird testing.
• Support subscale-to-full-scale system, ground, and flight testing and help evaluate technical solutions.
• Assist with technical proposals, project estimates, and resolution of engineering issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least 2 years of combined experience in aircraft design, GN&C, flight testing, systems engineering, project management, or program management.
• Hands-on development experience and basic knowledge of relevant engineering disciplines.
• Experience with autopilot or flight control hardware and software, aircraft systems integration and testing, communications systems, or high-voltage electrical power systems for manned or unmanned air vehicles.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR or be eligible for an export license; U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
