Software Engineering Intern - Summer 2027 (AI)

Location: San Jose, California; office-based five days a week

Salary: $40–$50 USD per hour

What you will do

• Complete a primary software engineering project over 10–12 weeks, such as building an internal tool, exploring applied research, or extending a product feature.
• Write clean, testable software components or applications using Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript.
• Identify, document, and fix bugs; perform unit and integration testing.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and collaborative development.
• Create scripts for data processing and deployment pipeline automation.
• Write technical specifications and user guidance.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid foundation in at least one object-oriented programming language, such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and distributed computing.
• Ability to learn quickly, communicate complex ideas clearly, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
• Must work in the San Jose office five days per week.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with machine learning and NLP algorithms.
• Experience with Spark, Ray, AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, React, or Node.
