Software Consulting Engineer Intern (Fullstack)

Salary: $44,000–$185,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop software solutions for customers across different Cisco technologies.
• Participate in coding, customer meetings, deliverable creation, lab building, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Work with managers, mentors, software architects, delivery engineers, customers, and customer experience leadership.
• Apply Cisco Secure Development Lifecycle processes and engineering practices.
• Gain hands-on experience with full-stack development, DevOps, deployment, and support models.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an associate's or bachelor's degree program in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, information technology, data science, mathematics, statistics, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
• Expected to continue degree enrollment after completing the internship.
• Understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
• Development experience with Python, Java, Spring or Spring Boot, and JUnit tests.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience with UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible.
• Non-academic coding experience through hackathons, coding challenges, personal projects, GitHub, open source, volunteering, or conferences.
• Familiarity with AI tools.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Oracle, Red Hat Linux, or Java.
