Software Engineering Intern (AI)

Location: New York City, New York; 10-week summer program

Compensation: $2,400 per week, plus a housing stipend.

What you will do

• Build, optimize, and maintain software systems using AI.
• Develop and launch features that help members find doctors and manage medical claims.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers in an agile environment.
• Participate in code reviews and problem-solving sessions with senior engineers and team leads.
• Present a capstone project and its impact to engineering leaders and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, with expected graduation between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
• Solid computer science fundamentals and exposure to frontend technologies such as JavaScript and React or backend technologies such as Python and Node.
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Interest in using AI tools and coding agents, including Claude Code.
• Must be able to participate in the program in New York City.
• Employment visa sponsorship or sponsorship takeover is not available.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with databases or cloud platforms such as AWS and Docker.
