Engineering Specialist (Mechanical)

Location: North Andover, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid with onsite work 3 days per week

Salary: $165,000–$175,000 per year, based on experience; eligible for a bonus plan with a target of 15% of base salary

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of infusion products within the hardware team.
• Design complex electro-mechanical mechanisms, product housings, and integrated subsystems.
• Apply DoE, tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T, and DFMEA to evaluate and improve designs.
• Optimize products for cost, quality, reliability, reduced complexity, and high-volume assembly.
• Coordinate design, redesign, prototyping, failure analysis, and transfer-to-manufacturing activities.
• Mentor engineers, lead project work, manage mechanical engineering schedules, and collaborate with customers and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience as a mechanical design engineer on product development teams.
• 5+ years of experience developing products in a regulated environment such as medical, aerospace, or military.
• Experience designing complex electro-mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks or another CAD system, including machined and injection-molded parts.
• Experience with materials selection, fabrication methods, PDM revision control, FDA requirements, DFM, NPI, thermal management, and design for reliability.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future. English proficiency is required for written and spoken workplace communication.
