Site Services Engineer (Remote & Autonomous Technologies)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, with a worksite in Mechanicsville, Virginia and travel to customer sites as needed

Salary: $79,000–$101,000 per year

What you will do

• Deploy Command RC and Autonomy solutions and act as project lead for customer implementations.
• Collaborate with sales, product support, site services, performance, and Caterpillar teams to support customer outcomes.
• Monitor customer performance data, define site-based measurements, and recommend operational improvements.
• Support marketing and sales activities, customer prospecting, and training on remote-control and autonomous technologies.
• Coordinate new site setup and data acquisition with customer software specialists.
• Maintain procedural documentation and provide feedback on product updates, refinements, and future development priorities.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Command Technologies, including remote control and autonomy.
• Understanding of customer job-site needs, machine control, guidance, and site applications.
• Knowledge of quarry and aggregates, waste handling, civil construction, mining, or related industries.
• Strong data and analytics, communication, customer relationship, and technology skills.
• Valid driver’s license, excellent driving record, and willingness to travel.
• Ability to work with Product Link, SOS, CAT Connect, Trimble software options, and similar products.

Nice to have

• Experience evaluating digital construction technology projects.
• Experience with quarry, aggregate, waste, or civil construction applications.
• Project management and cross-functional coordination experience.
