Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Support production operations, customer onboarding, quality compliance, and adherence to technical requirements.
• Own production defect disposition and root-cause problem solving to improve yield and reduce rework.
• Lead the transition from low-rate to high-volume manufacturing by improving processes, infrastructure, and shop-floor organization.
• Onboard automated production assets and collaborate with software engineering on manufacturing software improvements.
• Create production processes in unstructured areas of the operational system and support work prioritization during peak production periods.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field and 5 years of engineering experience in a production environment, or 5–6+ years of equivalent high-intensity production experience.
• Experience with machining operations, very tight tolerances, and aerospace manufacturing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of GD&T and the ability to articulate and defend engineering decisions.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including software engineering.
• Must meet U.S. Government ITAR requirements: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Knowledge of AS9100 quality systems and Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with SQL, VBA, Python, and ERP/MRP systems.
