What you will do

• Coordinate environmental compliance, permit requirements, and safety and health programs across assigned facilities, regions, and projects.
• Advise management and personnel on environmental, safety, health, and public safety requirements.
• Prepare and deliver environmental, safety, and health training and conduct observations and coaching.
• Support environmental, safety, and health audits, inspections, incident investigations, and causal analysis.
• Respond to regulated-substance releases and spills, including agency notifications, contractor coordination, cleanup direction, and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain compliance documents and records and respond to public inquiries about environmental matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, health, industrial hygiene, environmental sciences, or a related field; alternative education and experience paths are available.
• At least four years of experience in environmental, safety, and health program administration or power plant and utility field operations for the senior level.
• Advanced knowledge of OSHA regulations, electrical safety, lockout/tagout, working at heights, confined space rescue, hazardous materials, spill response, water controls, and wildlife conservation requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently, climb a 300-foot ladder, work on elevated platforms, and meet the 265-pound maximum weight limit for climbing safety equipment.
• Availability by phone after work hours and on weekends, with minimal contact frequency.
