TL;DR

Salary: $117,564.35–$159,057.65 per year

What you will do

  • Implement, coordinate, and advance site-level environmental compliance and sustainability programs.
  • Interpret federal, state, and local environmental regulations and develop compliance processes and plans.
  • Interface with regulatory authorities, support inspections, and prepare audits, analyses, reports, and sustainability metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste, water, and carbon impacts through data analysis, benchmarking, and program evaluations.
  • Act as the EHS point of contact, conduct laboratory and work-area inspections, assess risks, and investigate incidents.
  • Support emergency response activities involving hazardous material spills, releases, or exposures, including exercises and training.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree; or a master's degree with 3 years of Environmental Health and Safety experience; or a bachelor's degree with 5 years; or an associate's degree with 10 years; or a high school diploma/GED with 12 years.
  • Experience leading teams, projects, or programs, or directing resource allocation.
  • Experience with environmental and EHS management systems and applicable regulatory programs.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies during on-site inspections.
  • Ability to develop programs, manage projects, and work with data sets, databases, reporting portals, and software packages.

Nice to have

  • Current qualification as a Hazardous Material Technician under the Federal HAZWOPER standard.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with hazardous materials storage and transportation, water quality, regulated waste, air quality, or environmental sustainability.
