Undergrad Intern – Software Engineer – Amgen’s Technology & Medical Organizations (Summer 2027) (Biotech)

Location: Remote within the United States; students must remain located in the United States for the internship.

Salary: $28.87 per hour

What you will do

• Develop, test, debug, and document application components.
• Apply software development, configuration, and design techniques aligned with development standards.
• Build reliable, maintainable, self-documenting code with attention to performance efficiency.
• Create project plans and transform basic business processes into programming logic.

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older and located in the United States for the full internship.
• Be enrolled full time in a Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university with a minimum 3.0 GPA or equivalent.
• Have completed at least one year of study before the internship and remain enrolled afterward.
• Be available for a full-time schedule and able to commit to potential full-time employment by July 2028 if offered.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the program.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of software development methodologies and techniques.

Nice to have

• Coursework or a degree concentration in information technology, computer science, engineering, business, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or SQL.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with project management, business systems analysis, Lean, Agile/Scrum, databases, web development, cloud applications, ERP, or CRM systems.
• Biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry experience.
