Logistics Operations Supervisor II (Manufacturing)

Location: Mount Holly, NC, US; onsite, 2nd shift. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Salary: $95,000–$121,000 USD annually, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Lead inbound and outbound logistics operations, including inventory management, warehousing, transportation, receiving, stocking, and delivery to points of use.
• Manage inventory control and optimize inventory levels to support production assembly and external customers.
• Plan and allocate manpower while controlling overtime, variable costs, and supplier charge-backs.
• Maintain a safe working environment by identifying hazards, enforcing protocols, and coaching team members.
• Monitor and analyze SQDCME performance indicators, identify operational gaps, and lead stabilization and improvement actions.
• Develop team competencies and lead Lean continuous-improvement activities using 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, PDCA, Gemba walks, process mapping, and kaizen events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business operations, supply chain management, manufacturing, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, plus relevant experience; alternatively, an associate degree with 4 years of relevant team-leadership experience or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading teams in a high-volume manufacturing or logistics setting.
• Experience using business information tools to optimize team performance.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Microsoft Office, Outlook, and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

Nice to have

• 4 or more years of team leadership, including performance management.
• Experience leading teams in a union production environment, including UAW.
• Kronos or another time and attendance system experience.
• DTNA Shoptech or IMS experience.
