Undergrad Intern – Data Engineer (Python/SQL/AWS)

Location: United States — Remote; must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship.

Salary: $28.87 per hour

What you will do

• Design and develop end-to-end data pipelines that extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources and formats into an enterprise data lake.
• Collaborate with product owners, product architects, lead architects, business SMEs, data scientists, and functional teams to define and implement data requirements.
• Build infrastructure and analytics tools using Python, SQL, and AWS.
• Identify opportunities to automate tasks and develop reusable frameworks.
• Design, build, and develop rapid proof-of-concept solutions and services.

Requirements

• Must be located in the United States throughout the internship.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of the program.
• Must be at least 18 years old and enrolled full time in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
• Must complete at least one year of study before the internship, remain enrolled afterward, and be available for a full-time schedule.
• Relevant study areas include information technology, computer science, engineering, business, or a related field; proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or SQL is preferred.

Nice to have

• Biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong project management, analytical, quantitative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Coursework in software development, database modeling, cloud applications, Agile or Scrum, SDLC processes, enterprise systems, or related areas.
