Senior Scientific Data Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Lead the Scientific Data Engineering team and architect production-ready data solutions with Product Managers and Solution Architects.
• Build data models, prototypes, integrations, schemas, and parsers for pre-clinical data from laboratory instruments, manufacturing, CROs, CDMOs, ELNs, and LIMS.
• Use AI agents and productize reusable parsing functions and schema components into Python libraries.
• Develop high-quality data pipelines, applications, reports, and dashboards using Python, React, Streamlit, and Jupyter notebooks.
• Ensure data and product quality through unit tests, integration tests, quality gates, and process improvements.
• Coordinate Agile delivery, resolve blockers, collaborate across functions, and mentor junior Scientific Data Engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building data products as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• 8+ years of experience working with Python and SQL, focused on data.
• Experience leading projects, managing requirements, timelines, customer implementations, and delivery milestones.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and communicating technical products to product management and engineering.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and confidence taking ownership of project delivery.
• React or Streamlit dashboarding experience and experience with pre-clinical data and lab scientists are strongly preferred.
