Engineering Internship - Summer 2027

Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota campus; hybrid work with three days per week in the office for associates within a 90-minute commuting distance

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain new and existing systems as part of an agile delivery team.
• Build and support data pipelines, data products, AI/ML workflows, and data platforms for analytics, reporting, and AI solutions.
• Explore and implement AI and machine learning solutions, including model deployment, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Partner with business and technology teams to improve data quality, governance, and management.
• Help create customer experiences while safeguarding customer data and contributing to application, network, and system security.
• Participate in peer reviews, proof-of-concept projects, platform onboarding, and technology adoption.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, design, problem-solving, teamwork, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Curiosity and motivation to pursue learning and professional development.
• Summer internships are intended for undergraduate students graduating in December 2027 or May 2028.
• Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience or coursework with Java, Python, Terraform, Spring Framework, REST APIs, JavaScript, Node.js, React, Snowflake, SQL, AWS, MLOps, MLflow, GitHub, or Puppet.
• Familiarity with data management tools such as Informatica or Reltio and AI tools such as Bedrock, ChatGPT, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot.
