Scientist 1 (Environmental Testing)

Location: Greensburg, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite. Schedule: Saturday through Wednesday, approximately 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with Thursday and Friday off.

Salary: $16.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform, support, and oversee analysis of air, water, and soil samples.
• Apply established chemistry and biochemistry methods in a laboratory environment.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Document procedures, observations, and analytical results accurately.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another STEM-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to work in a laboratory while standing for extended periods and working around strong odors.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including a lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves.
