Lab Analyst - General Chemistry

Location: Dayton, New Jersey, USA; onsite laboratory role

Salary: USD 22–23 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze samples independently after training, following analytical SOPs and department-specific methodologies.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Support validation and limit-of-quantification studies.
• Investigate issues and help prepare responses to client inquiries and corrective action plans.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks and technical information supporting laboratory operations.
• Meet daily production, sample hold-time, and turnaround-time requirements while following safe laboratory practices.

Requirements

• Associate degree in chemistry or a similar scientific discipline plus 0–2 years of analytical chemistry laboratory experience, or 3 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced English language skills required.
• Basic reasoning, mathematical, and computer skills.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to work safely and accurately in an onsite laboratory environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a similar scientific discipline with 1–2 years of relevant analytical chemistry laboratory experience.
• Gas chromatography experience.
