Field Assistant Superintendent (Construction)

What you will do

• Sequence work with subcontractors and vendors to support safe and successful project execution.
• Supervise laborers and craft workers or direct an assigned segment of the project.
• Interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications and participate in project layout and field engineering.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers on RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, record drawings, workflow, and assembly.
• Monitor work quality, enforce OSHA and company safety procedures, and support schedule development and adherence.
• Maintain daily reports and apply Lean Construction practices using construction technology.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of relevant construction experience.
• Relevant college degree, or relevant experience as a Field Foreman or Field Engineer with basic safety awareness, supervisory experience, and the ability to maintain daily reports.
• Fundamental understanding of project documents and building construction.
• Ability to identify and solve problems, communicate effectively, collaborate with project members, and follow direction.
• Ability to work continuously on an active job site, including outdoor weather conditions, uneven surfaces, ladders, stairs, and moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to maintain consistent and timely attendance.

Nice to have

• Internship experience with a commercial construction company.
• Experience with Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, Egnyte, CMiC, Revit, or comparable construction technologies.
• Interest in integrated project delivery, process improvement, and construction technology innovation.
