Superintendent - Modernization (Elevator)

What you will do

• Supervise modernization field employees, including direction, training, hiring, performance management, and progressive discipline.
• Plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage elevator modernization projects, crews, manpower, materials, and subcontractors.
• Administer safety programs, conduct safety audits, and perform regular crew and jobsite visits.
• Monitor project progress, quality, financial status, risks, change orders, and required approvals.
• Coordinate with customers, owners, elevator consultants, architects, mechanics, union representatives, corporate departments, and regional operations.
• Resolve jobsite, customer, labor, and technical issues while ensuring compliance with applicable elevator industry codes.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of the construction industry and general management skills, supported by a bachelor's degree, two years of branch or departmental management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to write reports, contract proposals, and business correspondence.
• Ability to present information effectively and respond to management and customer questions.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage multiple variables.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report required.
