Superintendent - New Installation/Modernization (Elevators)

Location: Pensacola, Florida, United States; onsite field and jobsite responsibilities.

What you will do

• Manage construction operations and elevator installation and modernization projects from survey through completion.
• Supervise, train, and manage construction field employees, including performance management and staffing.
• Plan installation schedules and manpower needs using project management and scheduling tools.
• Administer safety programs, conduct audits, and make regular crew and jobsite visits.
• Monitor project status, quality, risks, change orders, purchase orders, and financial approvals.
• Coordinate subcontractors and collaborate with customers, contractors, consultants, architects, union representatives, and internal departments.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of the construction industry and general management skills, or a bachelor's degree, two years of branch-level departmental management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to write reports, contract proposals, and business correspondence.
• Ability to present information effectively and respond to management and customer questions.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage abstract and concrete variables.
• Must manage physical construction jobsites and comply with applicable federal, state, and local elevator industry codes.
