Superintendent (Construction)

Location: West Florida Division Office, 551 N. Cattlemen Rd., Suite 200, Sarasota, Florida; daily reporting to the division/corporate office or assigned community is required.

What you will do

• Lead the overall homebuilding process for assigned communities and homes.
• Manage construction schedules, resources, costs, quality, safety, and compliance.
• Build subcontractor relationships, authorize payments, and implement recovery strategies when schedules are at risk.
• Explain construction details to homebuyers and ensure homes are satisfactory at move-in.
• Manage post-close warranty requests, trade scheduling, and quality assurance.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and customer-ready worksites while mentoring team members when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED and at least 1 year of construction experience; construction education or completion of the TM360 Learning curriculum may apply.
• Knowledge of new home construction, scheduling, cost control, and all phases of residential construction.
• Ability to interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, prioritization, reliability, integrity, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle when applicable and meet the role's physical requirements, including occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
