Science Teacher - Elementary School (NGSS)

Location: Bronx, New York, United States; based in NYC with travel to hirify.global schools required.

Salary: $70,829–$136,704 per year

What you will do

• Teach elementary science as a content-area specialist using a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum.
• Facilitate hands-on investigations and develop student discourse, inquiry, and STEM skills aligned with NGSS.
• Plan instruction aligned with Common Core standards and adapt teaching based on student progress.
• Assess students, communicate results to families and colleagues, and support academic and character development.
• Prepare students for later success in science, including the Grade 5 NYS Science assessment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and engage in continuous professional growth through reflection and feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• New York State teacher certification in the appropriate content area required.
• At least two years of teaching experience strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to raise student achievement.
