Senior Financial Accountant (Fintech): Managing financial accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and controls for a digital bank with an accent on IFRS, banking products, loan portfolios, and regulatory reporting. Location: London, England, United Kingdom. Hybrid working with remote work and attendance at the Farringdon office approximately once a month.

What you will do
- Manage key elements of month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial reporting, management information, analysis, statutory statements, and disclosures.
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls across loans, deposits, derivatives, and other financial instruments.
- Support impairment assessments, loan loss provisioning, technical accounting assessments, and accounting judgements.
- Implement accounting and control processes for new products and transactions while improving existing processes.
- Drive automation, system improvements, audit support, regulatory reporting, and finance transformation initiatives.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
- At least 2–3 years of banking experience in financial accounting, reporting, or financial control.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and its application in a banking environment.
- Knowledge of banking products and accounting treatment, including loans, deposits, covered bonds, and RMBS.
- Experience with month-end and year-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, financial controls, and preferably impairment or loan loss provisioning.
- Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, attention-to-detail, and advanced Excel skills.
Nice to have
- Financial services audit experience at a Big Four or other accountancy firm.
- Experience with reporting, automation, or AI tools.
