Group Accountant (SaaS)

What you will do

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual group close and consolidation processes.
• Prepare consolidation schedules, group reporting packs, treasury files, cash flow information, and supporting financial statements.
• Review entity submissions, investigate reporting issues, and coordinate resolutions with regional and entity finance teams.
• Support technical accounting for acquisitions, restructuring, leases, foreign currency, intangible assets, and share-based payments.
• Prepare audit schedules, workpapers, financial statement disclosures, and responses to auditor requests.
• Standardise and automate reporting processes, templates, close trackers, system mappings, and consolidation procedures.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Strong grounding in financial accounting and financial reporting, including month-end, year-end, or group reporting experience.
• Strong Excel, financial analysis, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work accurately with large volumes of financial information and maintain detailed documentation.
• Clear communication skills across countries and levels of seniority, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proactive, organised, and willing to own issues through to resolution.

Nice to have

• Experience in an international or multi-entity group.
• Exposure to group consolidation or preparation and audit of consolidated financial statements.
• Experience in software, technology, SaaS, or a private-equity-backed organisation.
• Interest in improving and automating finance processes.
