What you will do
- Own key elements of the group month-end close, including journals, intercompany postings, FX, balance sheet revaluations, and general ledger activities across multiple entities and currencies.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, resolve ageing items, and escalate material issues with clear analysis.
- Review intercompany postings, reconciliations, and settlements while supporting intercompany automation implementation.
- Support and strengthen group FX accounting processes, ownership, and controls.
- Drive general ledger process improvement and automation using Dynamics 365 and AI-enabled finance tools.
- Support half-year reviews and year-end audits, collaborate across Finance, and deputise for the General Ledger Manager when required.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent membership.
- Approximately 2–4 years of post-qualification experience.
- Audit-trained experience, ideally at a top-tier firm, and/or experience in fintech, payments, or financial services.
- Strong double-entry accounting and month-end close fundamentals, including experience with complex group structures, multiple currencies, intercompany accounting, and balance sheet substantiation.
- Hands-on ERP experience, advanced Excel skills, and confidence working with large and complex data sets.
- Experience documenting processes, applying reconciliation policies and thresholds, and supporting audit and ICFR-style requirements.
Nice to have
- Strong academic background, ideally including a university degree in business, accountancy, or a related discipline.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 and an interest in automation and AI-enabled finance tools.
