Controlling Manager (Fintech)

Location: Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain; hybrid model with 2 office days and 3 home days.

A 200-person fintech product company within BNP Paribas, with offices in London and Barcelona, providing a product that manages complex financial operations for clients.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop two controllers.
• Own forward-looking P&L modelling, driver-based forecasting, and predictive cash flow modelling.
• Review month-end financial results, analyse variances, and turn actuals into actionable business insights.
• Partner with the CFOO, CCO, CEO, Accounting, Sales, and CSM leadership on board materials, budgets, targets, business cases, and organisational changes.
• Oversee commercial controlling, sales commissions, bonus calculations, revenue reporting, SaaS metrics, and customer profitability analysis.
• Optimise and digitalise controlling workflows by implementing automated data pipelines, system integrations, and Power BI dashboards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, controlling, or commercial analysis, including people management.
• Strong expertise in management accounting, driver-based P&L forecasting, cash flow modelling, and SaaS metrics.
• Advanced MS Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Fluent English required.
• Experience working in a hybrid setup in the Barcelona office.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Experience with automation tools or AI applications in finance.
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting, including Banco de España.
• Previous experience in SaaS, fintech, or technology.
