TL;DR
Product Manager (AI/EdTech): Owning discovery, shaping, and delivery of product bets for a digital reading platform with an accent on search, recommendations, AI tools, and mobile eReader experiences. Focus on analysing quantitative and qualitative evidence, connecting bets to squad KPIs, and making evidence-based trade-offs across cross-functional squads.

Location: Hybrid in Holborn, Greater London, United Kingdom, with 2 days per week in the London office.

Salary: £55,000–£60,000 per annum.

Company

hirify.global provides subscription access to more than 1.5 million ebooks and educational resources from over 9,000 publishers, serving learners, professionals, and readers in more than 100 countries across web, iOS, and Android.

What you will do

  • Own discovery, shaping, proposal, and end-to-end delivery of product bets for the Platform Experience squad.
  • Analyse and synthesise quantitative and qualitative evidence and communicate its implications.
  • Connect product work to squad KPIs, estimating impact and explaining why it matters.
  • Brief engineers, designers, and copywriters, including scope, edge cases, exclusions, and rationale, with light review.
  • Engage stakeholders, gather input, and support decisions with evidence.
  • Build understanding of users, the industry, and the squad’s problem space while managing risks and roadmap input.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of product ownership experience, including shipped work that changed a measurable outcome and the ability to quantify which metric changed and by how much.
  • Experience building habit-forming experiences and driving weekly and monthly engagement metrics.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including using data and BI tools, reading experiment results, and sizing opportunities independently.
  • Ability to brief engineers and designers with clear scope, edge cases, deliberate exclusions, and rationale.
  • Regular user research experience and the ability to use user feedback to shape products rather than only validate them.
  • Ability to make trade-offs, explain what was deprioritised, and work effectively in ambiguous conditions.
  • Ability to analyse the squad’s KPI impact, apply product tools and methods with limited support, and own prioritisation rather than only manage a backlog.

Culture & Benefits

  • Cross-functional squads include Product, Engineering, Design, QA, and Data and are accountable for defined KPIs and problem spaces.
  • Work is organised around evidence-based product bets, with discovery notes, decision logs, and progress updates shared openly in Notion.
  • Personal learning and development budget, dedicated learning time, and regular hackathons.
  • 22 days of annual leave, increasing by one day per year of service, plus company closure between Christmas and New Year and flexible bank holidays.
  • Home office budget, private medical, optical and dental cover through Vitality, Cycle to Work scheme, overseas-work flexibility, sabbatical options, and matched parental leave.

Hiring process

  • Product leadership reviews and challenges the work while the Product Lead or Head of Product reviews discovery and delivery rather than directing it.
  • Product bets are proposed by squads and reviewed during the company-wide roadmap cycle.
