Customer Service Representative (Manufacturing)

Location: Newark, Ohio, United States

Salary: $50,000–$60,000 per year, plus an annual performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Receive, process, schedule, and track customer orders through delivery.
• Respond to inquiries about product availability, pricing, freight rates, allocations, specifications, quotations, samples, and delivery dates.
• Coordinate with sales, design, production, scheduling, and other internal departments to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor orders, maintain customer records, and communicate important account updates.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints, billing issues, order changes, and requests for invoice adjustments.
• Manage inventory levels, reconcile physical inventory with orders and forecasts, and support other customer service representatives or the Customer Service Manager when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of customer service experience involving customer orders, order entry systems, and customer relationship management.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and customer databases such as Ariba.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, active listening, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and work flexible hours or overtime as needed.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or college accounting coursework.
• Experience in manufacturing, containerboard, corrugated packaging, logistics, or warehouse operations.
• Experience with automated order entry systems and team-based work environments.
